Ines Klim

Ines Klim's relationship with fashion could sound somewhat conventional, possibly even cliché:

"A little girl plays with her Barbie dolls, dresses them up and hand-makes new additions to Barbie’s wardrobe. The girl grows up with dreams of being a designer and starts creating clothes for herself."

What would have been a picture perfect story is somewhat tempered by an angry grandma in the background demanding to know who 'cut and wasted' the family collection of fabrics...

High school time brought a fascination with wool, which turned out to be quite a profitable adventure: schoolmates queued up to order hand knitted blouses, sweaters and scarves. A period of study at the Academy of Economics in Wroclaw, Poland, followed. Now the not-so-little girl was attracting attention from model agencies.  Her first contract was signed and Ines Klim made her official entrance into the fashion industry.

In 2004 modeling took her to Asia for the first time, where she fell in love with the city of Hong Kong and built a successful modeling career. Through working with individual designers and respected fashion brands, major lessons in style, color, trend projection and, above all, perfect fit were learned. With the benefit of the experience gained during a decade spent on the runway, in front of the lens or having garments literally fitted around her, it was now time to think seriously about satisfying the urge to create...

Inside the fashion world, Polish tailors are in high demand due to their professionalism, strong technical skills and great attention to detail. Thus it was natural for her to seek specialist training in design, garment construction and pattern making in her native Poland, attending individual lessons with Master Tailor, Ms Magdalena Bojan.

Now, just in time for the 2011 summer season, Ines Klim presents her first collection: SENSES.
